Guitarist Steve Cropper and bassist Donald "Duck" Dunn were members of Booker T. and the M.G.'s, the Stax house band that backed up Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Sam & Dave and more on their greatest hits. Singer/songwriter Eddie Floyd ("Knock on Wood"),drummer Steve Potts and keyboardist Lester Snell also performed on many Stax classics.
